US President Donald Trump has made headlines by purchasing a red Tesla Model X directly from Elon Musk, who is the CEO of Tesla. This notable event occurred on the South Lawn of the White House, where a selection of Tesla vehicles, including the iconic Cybertruck, was temporarily displayed.

The purchase, which took place in front of a gathering of reporters and cameras, served as a strong public endorsement of Elon Musk and his company. Trump, standing next to Musk and his son X, remarked, “He had four beautiful cars there and I bought one in front of the press. It was a very public purchase, and they are beautiful and do a great job.”

Trump Praises Musk and His Contributions

During the event, President Trump praised Musk, calling him a “great guy” and a “patriot” for his significant contributions to both the private and public sectors. Trump acknowledged Musk’s efforts to improve government efficiency through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and commended his resilience despite facing recent challenges. Trump stated, "When I saw what was happening, I said that I want to buy a Tesla. Sometimes, I'm not even sure what he is in terms of his philosophy, but he's a great guy. He's a patriot.”

Elon Musk responded to the occasion, highlighting the role of Trump's policies in fostering the growth of American businesses. He stated, “As a function of the great policies of President Trump and his administration, and as an act of faith in America, Tesla is going to DOUBLE vehicle output in the United States within the next two years…”
