Published May 12, 2024

In a strategic shift for its technological infrastructure, Ola, a key player in the mobility sector, has announced its decision to migrate its entire workload away from Microsoft Corporation's MSFT Azure cloud platform to a different service provider named Krutrim. This move comes as part of Ola's broader initiative to refine its operational efficiency and innovate in its market offerings.

Ola Embarks on Cloud Transformation

Bhavish Aggarwal, the founder and CEO of Ola Electric as well as Ola Cabs, remains optimistic about the future of electric transportation. When discussing the cost dynamics of electric motorcycles compared to their internal combustion engine (ICE) counterparts, Aggarwal stated, "We don't think the cost of making an electric mobike will have a big gap with ICE mobikes." The shift to Krutrim is a clear indicator that Ola is gearing up for a future that leans heavily on electric vehicles (EVs).
