Quantum computing stocks are on the rise, showcasing significant growth fueled by advancements in the industry, strategic partnerships, and increasing enthusiasm from investors. A notable performer in this sector is D-Wave Quantum Inc. (QBTS), which has witnessed an impressive increase of 246% in its stock price over the past month, according to Benzinga Pro. Recently, D-Wave CEO Alan Baratz was featured on Fox Business’ Making Money with Charles Payne, where he elaborated on the company’s groundbreaking work in quantum computing.
D-Wave is known for its annealing quantum computing technology, which is particularly effective in addressing optimization problems observed in various industries. On November 25, B. Riley Securities reaffirmed its Buy rating on D-Wave, adjusting the price target from $3.75 to $4.50.
Additionally, D-Wave participated in the Quantum Technologies Forum at the University of Southern California (USC), where it showcased advancements in its technology and real-world applications from both commercial customers and research partners. USC also features a D-Wave Advantage quantum system, highlighting the company's integration in educational and enterprise settings. As of now, QBTS has surged over 517% since the beginning of the year, with a recommended way for investors to gain exposure being through the Defiance Quantum ETF (QTUM).

Moving on to other major players in the market, Rigetti Computing, Inc. (RGTI) has also made significant strides, seeing its stock rise over 206% in the past month. On November 25, B. Riley Securities maintained its Buy rating for Rigetti, increasing the price target to $4 from the previous $3.50. The company recently secured funding by issuing 50 million shares at a rate of $2.00 each, raising around $100 million, which the company can utilize for future development.
Rigetti has also made progress in technological innovation, as its Novera Quantum Processing Unit (QPU) is now operational at the Israeli Quantum Computing Center (IQCC). This site hosts NVIDIA Corporation's NVDA Grace-Hopper superchip servers, alongside Quantum Machines’ OPX1000 control system for research purposes. Investors can also consider the Defiance Quantum ETF (QTUM) for exposure to Rigetti.
Meanwhile, IonQ, Inc. (IONQ) has seen its stock soar over 70% in the last month. Last month, Craig Hallum reiterated a Buy rating with an increased price forecast from $15 to $22. IonQ’s growth trajectory has been supported by several strategic developments, including a $54.5 million contract with the U.S. Air Force Research Lab and a partnership with the South Korean government aimed at expanding capabilities in the quantum sector. IonQ is leveraging the booming AI market through partnerships like Zapata Computing, utilizing NVIDIA’s CUDA-Q platform to test large language models on its quantum systems. Investors can also find exposure to IonQ through the Main Thematic Innovation ETF (TMAT).
Another company making waves is Quantum Computing Inc. (QUBT), which has experienced a staggering gain of over 487% in the last month and an impressive growth of over 790% year to date. Recently, this smaller company signed an agreement to sell 16 million shares at $2.50 each, raising a total of $40 million. Furthermore, on November 20, they secured a second purchase order for their thin film lithium niobate (TFLN) photonic chip from the University of Texas at Austin, supporting significant research work at the university and indicating the momentum and application of their technology.
